I have a question, because I'm a smidge confused:

I understand that we can claim two pairings. However, if we claim one pairing and do a set for it, and then reclaim the pairing and write a second set, does that count as claiming two pairings? Then would it be impossible to write all five sets for one pairing?

And one more query:

Is it taboo for someone to write all five sets and submit them to a fanfiction website without properly reclaiming five times? Does that count as violation of rules? I'm just wondering here.

n___n Thanks!

You're allowed to have up to two pairings claimed SIMULTANEOUSLY. There's no limit to how many you're allowed to write in total, but you can only have two ongoing at any one time.

Really, we can't stop you from doing whatever you'd like outside of the community. If you're going to post your sentences here, you have to reclaim between postings. If you're not going to, really, you don't even have to claim them, you can just use the theme sets, but your sentences won't be officially connected to the community.

Hope that helps. :)

Wow, that actually cleared up so much. o_O Thank you, I wasn't expecting such a well executed reply.

Though I'm aware of the complete and utter redundance of this question, I have to voice it: So if I claim two pairings now, and finish up the sentence themes for them, I can claim other pairings at a later date? (Not that I intend to bog down pairings, but I'm pathetically cautious about these things so I like to have all the facts 100% completely straight before I jump in. My apologies!)

You're allowed to write whatever you'd like. You don't have to write all five for each pairing if you don't want--personally, I have written one set each for two different pairings, and I've currently got two other pairings claimed. The only real rule is that you're only allowed to write each pairing no more than five times.

I don't think this has already been asked, but do we have to use just one set of themes or are we allowed to mix and match themes from different sets?

You can't mix and match--you're allowed to write each theme set once per pairing, but you must do so separately.

questions I have
I kind of have four questions. Do you have to have a LiveJournal acount to use the theme sets? You can use characters that you created yourself, right? Do you have to be above a certain age level? Can you do the theme sets on paper or Word Processor or do you have to do them on something like LiveJournal or DeviantArt?

Re: questions I have
in order to post in the community, you need a LJ account, yes. To use the themesets, no, but asking which one you're taking is always nice.

You can use original characters. There aren't any restrictions on ages, but with the recent LJ drama with ALL PORN/SHOTA/PEDOPHILIA/WHATEVER MUST DIE just uhhh, use caution.

It doesn't matter where you write them. Paper or word processor. If you want to do the sentences for yourself just for fun and post them somewhere else, go for it. Just credit where you got the themesets from and all that.

So, just to be clear: would you consider it offensive or unethical to use a themeset and post the result without joining the comm, as long as the comm is credited?

Re: questions I have
Nope. Go for it. It'd be nice if there was a link back to the comm if the theme sets are used.

I haven't joined the comm yet, but I was just wondering, can I claim two pairings for one table?
Sorry if this has already been stated/answered somewhere.

Yes, as long as the two pairings are different from one another.

Quick question--

I'd love to claim female!Roxas/female!Axel, but Axel/Roxas is already claimed. Does genderbend count as a new pairing, or do I still have to wait for the male!Axel/male!Roxas writer to finish their set?

Uh ... I think we're dictated by canon, so I'd say wait until the current user finishes.

We have a purge date coming up in December, so it might be released then.

I would like to do the Epsilon set, but just a quick question? Do you have the HTML for the table, so that I don't have to re-make it to post it to my own journal?

I'm planning to put it up there to keep track of which sentences I have already written, as I don't think I'll be doing all 50 in one go.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to claim a table or just write so I'll claim just in case. I'd like Alpha for my pairing.

Is there a code to put it up on our journals?

If you want to make a claim for a pairing, you have to make it here. The mods don't need to know which table you plan on using either.

Thank you for that information. I have made a claim on the appropriate page. I just wasn't sure if I needed to claim a table like it's required on some challenge communities before I started writing.

I will be using the gamma or alpha set for my Tiger & Bunny sentences.Or can I use both?

Feb. 24th, 2012 06:07 am (UTC)
You can't combine prompts from both the tables for the one claim.

You can, however, do one set of 50 sentences with the Gamma set, and then come back and re-claim the same pairing and do another 50 sentences with the alpha set.
